This two-year program is for high school Juniors and Seniors.  First year students spend 3 hours in the lab and 40 min. classroom learning many basic masonry techniques and learning about the tools used along with some necessary math skills.  They practice building scaffolds, building corners, laying to the line, laying mailbox, chimneys, fireplaces, etc.  The second year, students work outside the school doing jobs for people in the community. They are several Career opportunities in masonry: Estimator, Project Manager, Masonry Subcontractor, General Contractor, Mason Product Sales, Restoration Expert, Masonry Instructor, and Skilled Masonry.

            The purpose of the program is to give young men and women the opportunity to learn a trade.  By learning the basic skills needed to perform this type of work, the student will be able to find a job after graduation using this hands-on knowledge.  This program provides students with an education on job skills, discipline, and stresses good attendance.  We want to teach students to take pride in whatever they do, to become a person who contributed to his community. 

            The Masonry program is affiliated with VICA- Vocational Industrial Clubs Of America.
