Purpose of the Program
The purpose of the program is to expose students to a wide spectrum of the mechanical field. Graduates of the program who meet all the proficiencies are qualified for entry-level jobs in the industrial or agricultural field of mechanics. Successful students have the opportunity to further their education at a number of technical colleges or universities. Students interested in mechanical engineering should consider this program.
The program is designed to give each student a broad mechanical knowledge that can be transferred to many different occupations. Because the learning is varied students will be challenged with new material every week. The most successful students work well with their hands yet read and comprehend technical publications and drawings completely.
FFA is an integral part of the class curriculum. Participation is highly encouraged because of the great number of opportunities for personal development.
