North Adams Elementary serves 630 plus kindergarten through sixth grade students from three area communities, ( Cherry Fork, Seaman, and Winchester), as well as the surrounding rural area.  The school is currently located at 355 Broadway Street in Seaman, Ohio in the previous high school building.  North Adams High School moved to their new location on Moores Road in the fall of 1996, allowing the elementary to expand into the old high school facility.

North Adams Elementary, previously Seaman Elementary, was formed in 1989 when both Winchester Elementary and Cherry Fork Elementary were closed.  Initially, the students from all three schools were served at the Seaman Elementary building through the scheduling of two sessions per day.  In 1991, modular units allowed the school to end split sessions and return to a regular school day.  The name of the school was changed from Seaman Elementary to North Adams Elementary in 1995. .

Currently, the school staff consists of 34 classroom teachers, 5 special education teachers, 1 physical education teacher, 1 music teacher, 1 art teacher, 3 Reading Recovery teachers, a guidance counselor, assistant principal, principal, security resource officer, part-time band teacher and talented and gifted teacher, 10 aides, 2 secretaries, 1 medical aide, 1 family interventionist, 1 prevention interventionist,  5 cooks and 3 custodians.  This year we added a Pre-School to our campus which increased our staff and student body.
